At the end of January, we visited FITUR, one of the most important international tourism fairs, which is held annually in Madrid. We spoke with Dolores Pérez Frías, the Director of Israel’s National Tourism Office, about how the office promotes tourism to Israel, and then with Alex Hasson, of Amiel, an Israeli tour operator, about the annual open-air opera festival held each summer at Massada, near the Dead Sea.
