Abraham Joshua Heschel:  Theologian and Human Rights Activist, with Jordan Spencer Jacobs

ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question:  What did Abraham Joshua Heschel think about language?

Jordan Spencer Jacobs is originally from Los Angeles and now lives in Madrid, where he is a Doctoral Candidate in Religious Sciences at the Complutense University.  His dissertation is on Abraham Joshua Heschel, who was one of the leading Jewish theologians and philosophers of the 20th century, as well as a leading activist for human rights.

This week he is speaking with us about Heschel’s philosophy and his practical work, and how they were interconnected.
