Sitting on a Suitcase: Psychoanalytic Stories

ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question:  What was in the “small suitcase” that each contributor to the book was given?

Sitting on a Suitcase: Psychoanalytic Stories is an anthology edited by psychologists Halina Brunning and Olya Khaleelee.  In it, eighteen Jewish psychology professionals from different countries, all of whom are descendents of Holocaust survivors, reflect on how their personal stories have influenced their life and work.  This week we are speaking with Olya Khaleelee about the project, and also with one of the writers, Leila Djemal, who lives in Israel and whose contribution to the book reflects not only her own personal history, but also how her life and work were affected by the attack of October 7.
