Kobe is a port city in the Kansai region of Japan on the main island of Honshu. An important city throughout Japanese history, Kobe also has a significant Jewish history.
S. David Moche was born in Kobe. He has a special interest in the Jewish community there and has carried out oral interviews to document its history and also created a blog about it. This week he is speaking with us about the history and current situation of the Jews in Kobe.
